This policy explains which personal data Uphori.rip ("we", "us", "our") collects, why we collect it, and what choices you have. By using the Service you accept this policy.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, email address, a password (stored only as a salted one-way hash, so nobody can read it), the invitation code you registered with, and optionally a nickname and a profile picture.
- Content you create: forum threads and comments, shoutbox messages, profile wall posts and support tickets.
- Activity and security data: your IP address when you register (kept to prevent abuse and ban evasion), the time you were last active (used to show who is online), your login session, and your rank and subscription status. IP addresses are also used briefly to limit repeated login attempts and request floods.
- We do not collect or store payment card numbers.
How we use it
- To run the Service: accounts, the forum, profiles, notifications and support.
- To keep the Service safe: moderation, preventing spam, abuse, ban evasion and security attacks.
- To manage Premium subscriptions, gifts and ranks.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and local storage
We use one essential cookie that keeps you signed in. It is marked HttpOnly, is only used for your login session and expires automatically. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser also stores a few small settings on your own device, such as your username if you tick "Remember me". Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the Service, may set its own security cookies.
Who can see your data
Other members can see your username, rank, profile picture, join date and everything you post. Staff can see the account information they need to moderate the Service and help you. Companies that host the Service, store its database or protect it (for example our hosting provider and Cloudflare) process data on our behalf. We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of our members.
How long we keep it
Your account data and content are kept while your account exists. Content that is deleted is removed from the live Service, and copies may remain in backups for a limited time. When you ask us to close your account we delete or anonymise your personal data, except what we must keep to enforce a ban, prevent abuse or follow the law.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by opening a support ticket. If you live in the EU or EEA you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and connections to the Service are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please choose a strong password that you do not use anywhere else.
Age
The Service is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; continuing to use the Service means you accept the current version. For any privacy question, please open a support ticket.
